The teachers and staff of CCPS welcome all the students and the parents back to school for 2018-2019! Please make note of the following important information to prepare for the beginning of the school year.

• The most updated calendar is always available on the "About" page - please check the dates for upcoming events.
• Mandatory orientation nights will be held on August 29th and 30th. Please check with your teacher for the staggered entry list.
• We will be observing Labor Day on September 3rd and staggered entry will begin on September 4th.

We have many exciting and important activities in September, so please make sure to review the calendar often!

Summer fun is here! The children have enjoyed many different activities and are especially enjoying the water tables and the sprinklers in the hot weather. We've even set up our own car wash (with our Little Tyke cars). We've gone on bear hunts, made s'mores, and felt groovy in our tie-dye shirts.

We will be closed the week of Fourth of July and will return for two more weeks of camp, so don't wait to sign up!

​In August, we will be preparing for the return of the new school year. FOR PARENTS OF 2018-2019 STUDENTS: Please make sure to return all of your required paperwork ASAP. Your child cannot begin school before all the required paperwork is received. You can follow us on Facebook for all of the latest updates.

While the cold lingers on, the impending daylight savings change indicates spring is on the horizon! We can't wait for the warmer weather to return for our students to enjoy being outside again.

Even though it may seem like a distant future, we are already making plans for the summer. We are happy to announce that CCPS will be hosting summer camp again this year! The application for summer school is available on our homepage. Please don't hesitate to check in with Donna if you have any questions. We hope to see many of our students there!

Lastly, the registration for our upcoming school year 2018-2019 has been filling up extremely fast! We are so excited that so many of you are choosing to return to our school, start a new student, and tell your family and friends. If you haven't signed up yet, we have very few spaces available, so make sure to talk with Donna ASAP to get your student signed up.

Happy 2018 to all of our students and parents! Hope you have all enjoyed your holidays and winter break. We will be starting anew on January 2nd. Please stay aware of our inclement weather policy as unpredictable winter weather comes upon us in the next few months.

For parents whose students will be returning next year, the new application for the 2018-2019 school year is now available! It can be found on the home page and the about section of the website. Please note that the schedules have been changed for the next year and that all classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early to secure your preferred spot! All applications must be accompanied by a non-refundable $90 registration fee.

We will also have hard copies of the application available in the office starting in January, so please check in with Donna.

Our fall term is in full swings! We have many exciting events happening at our school. Here's a recap of few highlights:

• Walk-A-Thon earlier this month helped us raise funds for our technology initiative. Thank you to all our parents for their donations and kindness. Special thanks to Jessica Shamer with Coldwell Banker for her assistance and continued dedication to CCPS!
• Our students had an exciting visit to Clark's Elioak Farm and had a wonderful time despite some rain. Thank you to all the parents who braved the weather to join us on this visit.

Upcoming events:

• Halloween Parade will be happening on 10/30 and 10/31. Please look out for more information about specific times for your class from your teachers' newsletters. Watch out for those ghouls and monsters! We're happy to answer any questions you have, so please don't hesitate to ask.
• Fire truck visit from Riviera Beach Fire Department will be happening on November 6-7. They will be discussing fire safety with the students and everyone will get a fun visit with our brave firefighters.
• Visit from the founders/visionaries for CCPS: We will be holding a special luncheon with the visionaries who started CCPS 20 years ago on November 8th. We want to share with them how their vision continues to bless the children in our community and recognize their ongoing contributions.

We will be holding the Harvest for the Hungry food drive again this year. There will be boxes and bags available throughout the classrooms and the foyer of the school. Your teacher will pass out the list of suggested items for donation. We appreciate your contributions and love for our community.

Thanksgiving holidays are coming up and school will closed November 22-24. We are thankful for all of our students, parents, and teachers. Wishing you and your family and wonderful Thanksgiving season (and hope you all enjoy your turkey!).
